2.5.3 White balance
The white balance setting can be found under this path: Camera > White balance
A camera needs to find reference colour temperature which is a way of measuring the quality
of a light source, for calculating all the other colours. The unit for measuring this ratio is in
degree Kelvin (K). Users can select one of the white balance control modes according to the
operating environment. The following table shows the color temperature of some light
sources for reference.

Auto (Auto White Balance):
The auto white balance mode is suitable for environment with light source having color
temperature in the range roughly from 2700 - 7800K.
ATW (Auto Tracking White Balance):
With the auto tracking white balance function, the white balance in a scene will be
automatically adjusted when temperature color is changing. The ATW mode is suitable for
environment with light sources having color temperature in the range roughly from 2500 -
10000K.
One Push:
The camera executes a white balance once. Enable the One Push option and confirm with a
tick. Click on the colour icon , so that the camera starts the white balance once.
The detected white balance value is valid until the next camera operation.
Manual:
In this mode, users can change the white balance value manually. Users can select values
between 0 -127 for “RGain/ BGain” item to gain the red/ blue illuminant on the live video
pane. Default values: RGain = 57; BGain = 54.
Click on <> to confirm the new setting.
