Do not smoke while filling up with fuel. • Do not unscrew the fuel cap when the motor is on or hot. • Slowly pour the fuel into the tank with the help of a filling nozzle or funnel. • Avoid spilling petrol and make sure that you do not overfill the tank, to avoid spillage. Leave a few millimetres of space under the rim to allow the fuel to expand. Put the fuel cap back on correctly.
• Press on the priming pump until the fuel becomes visible (2 to 3 times). • Put the Start/Stop switch into the Start position (fig. 5). • Put the choke in the start position towards the top. • Pull quickly and firmly on the starter recoil starter, then follow it back down to its initial position. • If the engine does not start after the first pull, repeat until it does. • After the engine has been running for 15 to 30 seconds, put the choker back in its initial position towards the bottom (run).
3.23 Adjusting the cutting wire during use Hold the cutting head in rotation parallel to the ground, lightly tap the cutting head on the ground and the spool will release a length of line automatically. Press with your thumb and index finger on both clips and free the spool access lid (fig. 7 and 8). • Remove the spool (fig. 9). • Repeat the operations in reverse to fix a full spool, without forgetting to feed the two wires into their metallic passage.
