3.6.3 Hotplug USB FDD
This function is used to allow the system to create a dummy FDD device which will later be as-
signed to a hotplugged USB FDD device.
Default setting: Disabled
3.6.4 Device Reset Timeout
This setting selects the timeout in seconds that the USB core will wait for a USB storage device
to become ready after start unit command.
Default setting: 20 sec
3.6.5 Mass Storage Devices
This function shows a list of connected USB mass storage devices and allows the user to select
how the respective device is to be treated.
SETTING DESCRIPTION
Disabled Use this setting to prevent the system from creating a dummy FDD device.
Enabled Use this setting to allow the system to create a dummy FDD device.
Auto Use this setting to allow the system to only create a dummy device if no other USB FDD
device is present.

Use one of these settings to specify how long the USB core will wait for a USB mass stor-
age device to become ready after the start unit command.
SETTING DESCRIPTION
Auto Use this setting to specify that devices with a capacity smaller than 128 MB will be treated
as USB floppy, larger ones as USB hard drive.
Floppy Use this setting to specify that the device is treated as floppy, regardless of its size.
Forced FDD Use this setting to force the device to be booted as floppy, even if it is formatted as hard
drive.
Hard Disk Use this setting to treat the device as hard disk, regardless of its size.
CD-ROM Use this setting to treat the device as CD-ROM even if its class code does not identify the
device as such.
