P&D (Plug&Display) is a VESA standard which incorporates two serial interface
protocols, USB and IEEE 1394 (Firewire)
DFP (Digital Flat Panel Port) is currently favoured by many PC manufacturers. At present DFP
is the closest to an "industry standard" in terms of acceptance and can be connected to a DVI interface (see
below) using a suitable adaptor. The maximum resolution available under the DFP standard is SXGA
(1280x1024).
DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is the future of digital interface standards. With a maximum resolution
of 2048x1536 (QXGA) the standard can also be used to drive CRT monitors with analogue
signals via the same physical connector. The Maxdata 102005 supports DVI providing you with the best option
