The Konica Minolta SD to Compact Flash Adapter (SD-CF1) is a small, practical gadget which allows
photographers using cameras with the more space-consuming compact-flash-cards to insert secure digital
(SD) cards into their cameras and use SD-cards as a storage medium. This makes it possible for example to
continue using cards bought for the DiMAGE Xt or DiMAGE F300 when upgrading to a DiMAGE 5/7/7i/Hi or A1/A2.
 
The Minolta SD-CF1 CompactFlash Adapter enables SD (Secure Digital) Memory Cards to be used with most
Compact Flash compatible cameras, printers, PDAs or other imaging equipment. Use of an SD Memory Card with
the SD-CF1 adapter permits transfer rates of up to 30% faster than using CompactFlash cards alone. This speed
increase is dependant upon the SD card used. By inserting a Minolta SD-CF1 adapter
into a PCMCIA Compact Flash adapter, SD Memory Cards can also be
used in your laptop computer.
 
This product will work with any brand of SD card, for any camera and is not exclusive to Konica Minolta models. If
you recently have upgraded to a Digital SLR which uses Compact Flash and have SD cards from a previous
camera, this is the product you need to enable their continued use. Many SD cards have higher read/write
speeds than Compact Flash cards which will enable faster transfer times allowing you to shoot more shots in quick
succesion! Why buy high speed compact flash cards when you can use your existing SD cards?
Compatible Cards: SD Memory Card (8MB - 512 MB) / MultiMedia Card (4MB -128 MB).
Although the manufacturer places a limitation of 512MB for SD cards and 128MB for MMC Cards, this product can
accept larger capacity cards but with the limitation of only reading up to 512MB or 128MB.
