Throughout this manual, the buttons on the player are labelled according to the
picture above. Whenever a button name is prefixed by “Long”, a long press of approx-
imately one second should be performed on that button. The buttons are described in
detail in the following paragraph. Additional information for blind users is available on
¸
the Rockbox website at ZBlindFAQ.
Hold the player with the controls on the bottom and the screen on the top. The main
controls are a scroll wheel with four clickable points and a button in the centre; pressing
this centre button functions as Select. Going clockwise from the top, the clickable points
on the wheel are the Play, Right, Submenu, and Left buttons. Turning the wheel
clockwise is Scroll Forward, and turning it counter-clockwise is Scroll Backward.
Immediately above and to the right of the wheel is the Home button.
On the lower left of the unit is a slot for inserting microSD cards. Immediately below
that is the opening for the microphone.
On the bottom of the unit is the connector for connecting a USB cable and the
headphone socket. On the lower right hand side of the unit is a two-way switch. Pressing
this switch up acts as Power, and clicking it down until it locks acts as the Hold switch.
When the Hold switch is on, none of the other buttons have any effect.
