Unmount a microSD Card

WhenyouneedtoremoveanoptionalinstalledmicroSDcard,youmustunmountthecardfirstto

preventcorruptingthedatastoredonitordamagingthecard.

Transfer Files Between Your Phone and a

YoucanusethesuppliedUSBcabletoconnectyourphonedirectlytoyourcomputerandtransfer

music,pictures,andothercontentfiles.Forexample,ifyouhaveamusicalbumstoredonyour

computerthatyouwanttolistentoonyourphonewiththemusicplayerorGooglePlayMusic,just

attachyourphonetothecomputerandcopythefilestotheMusicfolder.

1. ConnectyourphonetoyourcomputerusingthesuppliedUSB/chargingcable.Youmayneedto

removetheUSBcablefromtheChargingHead.

l InsertoneendofthecableintotheUSBCharger/Accessoryportatthebottomofthephone.

l InserttheotherendofthecableintoanavailableUSBportonyourcomputer.

2. Yourphonewillautomaticallydetecttheconnection.Continuetosetuptheconnection:

l SwipeyourfingerdownfromtheStatusbartoopentheNotificationpanel.TheNotification

panelshowsthetypeofconnectionnexttotheconnectionicon( ).

l Tochangetheconnectiontype,tapitintheNotificationpanel,andthenchooseanoption:



Media device (MTP):Usedformosttransfers.YoucantransferfilesinWindowsorfrom

aMac.



Camera (PTP):Usedfortransfersofphotosusingcamerasoftwareonyourcomputer.

3. Onyourcomputer,navigatetoviewthecontentsofyourphone(forexample,usingMy

computer).
