generation of digital signal processing technology, the
SDC-425 has the industry’s highest resolution specification for a standard definition format camera. In addition to superior resolution the WIV DSP provides
for a rich set of advanced features and performance specifications that are normally found only on more expensive system cameras.

Low Noise-High Sensitivity
Managing noise is the key to achieving great results in low light. The advanced 3D
noise filtering system in the SDC-425 allows it to provide good color in much lower
lighting levels. Reducing noise in the picture also reduces the amount of storage
space required to record the video on a DVR.

Highlight Compensation
The SDC-425 is equipped with HLC (Highlight Compensation) which reverses
bright spots in the picture (such as headlights). This enables the entire system
to do a better job of resolving and displaying grayscale information such as a
license plate.

generation DSP is the engine that brings out
the performance of this camera. The SSNR II noise reduction technology
is the industry’s only 3D noise filtering system. This enables the
SDC-425 to have an industry-leading S/N specification of 52dB,
which is a key to achieving superior low light performance as well as
DVR recording efficiency.

DIS Off DIS On
The built-in DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer) of the SDC-425 removes image jitter that is
caused by vibrations in the building. This stabilization greatly reduces the amount of
hard disk space required to store images on a DVR. Depending upon the amount of
shake, DIS can reduce storage requirements by as much as half even in cameras
with no apparent image jitter.

The WIV DSP utilizes advanced digital processing to achieve white balance in a
much wider range of color temperatures 1,800°K to 10,500°K.

Motion Detection Privacy Masking
The SDC-425 comes with a programmable 8-zone motion detector built in. This motion
detector uses an advanced digital processing motion algorithm to discriminate against
unwanted alarms. It also has the ability to mask up to 8 areas of the picture where viewing
is not desired. Each zone can be independently programmed via the OSD.
