Device Settings
General Sound Settings
Silent Mode
Use the Silent mode setting when you want to stop the
phone from making any noise. In this mode, the
speaker is muted and the phone only vibrates to notify
you of incoming calls, or other functions that normally
have a defined tone or sound as an alert.
䊳 Press and hold the volume button down in standby
mode until displays.

Press and tap
> Settings > Sound > Silent
mode, then tap Off, Vibrate, or Mute.
Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume settings for both the device and
Media playback to suit your needs and
environment.
1. Press and tap > Settings > Sound.
2. Tap Volume and drag each of the volume type
slides left (to decrease volume) or right (to increase
volume). Selections are:
Music, video, games, and
other media, Ringtone, Notifications, or System.
3. Tap OK when finished.
Ringtone and Notifications Settings
Set up the device ringtone, device vibration, and
sounds for default notifications. You can also set up
sound and vibration for the phone and notifications.
1. Press and tap > Settings > Sound.
2. Configure the following options:
䡲 Device ringtone: select a default phone ringtone
from the list.
䡲 Device vibration: select a default phone vibration
ringtone from the list. Or tap
Create and create
your own custom device vibration ringtone.
䡲 Default notifications: select a default phone
notification ringtone from the list.
Tip: You can adjust the ringtone volume in standby mode (or
the earpiece volume during a call) by using the volume
button on the left side of your device.
