Analog Captions

CC I)isplays in[onnation at any position on the screen. [t overlays the text on
top of thu picture as it is received.
_r>xt liisplays information at one particular posi/ion (such as the bottom third)
ot the screen. You cannot see the picture underneath the text.
You cast choose between eight closed caption modes:
,, CC# and 7>xt 1 are the primary caption and text services. The captioning
or text is displayed in the same language as the program's dialog.
,, Cd3 and 7>xt 3 serve as the preff,rred data channds. The captioning <)rtext
is often a secondary language translation, simplified English, or displayed at
a slower rate.
* CC2 and CC4 and 7$>xt 2 and Text 4 are rarely available and broadcasters
use thelTr]only in special conditions, such as when (2(21 and (2(23 are not
available, or Text1 and Text3 are not available.
