Blocking Age-Based Ratings
YOu can automalicallv block aN p;og;am ;atings above a specified age-based ;ati*_glevel. Fo;
example, i_ you oMy want your chikt to watch programs that have a TV-G rating and to\vet (in
other words, you \yam the chik[ to watch TV-G, TV-Y7, a_c[ TV-Y), then you _eed to block out
highe, ;atings.
To block p_ograms with higher ;atings:
1. FWst, determine the lowest [evel _ating you don't want the chikt to watch (see chair o_ age-
based rati_gs o_ p,evious page).
2. Highlight the to\vest rating you do not want the d-did to watch. {n the example discussed
above, you \vouk[ high%hi TV-PG, since the highest rating you \yam the chiM to watch is
TV-G.
3. P_ess the OK button to toggle bet\veen _'iezc'g_b/<_and Blod, ed. The status }or the rating Nsted
to the ;ight a_d all higher ;atings automatically cha_ge to _Uod, vd (a_d _).

Viewing Age-Based Ratings

2. Use the up and down ar,'ow buttons to highNght the rating with a

Blocking Specific Content Themes
You can block p_'og;ams based on lheir content. \\,'hen you block a content theme fbr a pa;ticula; rating you
automatically block that content theme for higher ;ated p*'og;ams as well.
For example, if you do not want voul child to watch programs that have adult kmguage (L) ;ated T\'-PG or higher,
then you coukt block out all p_ogramming T\.'-PG arid above containing aduk hr_guage.
To blockp_ogram content:
1. Dete;mine the lowest level o[ content you (ton>t waist the child to watch.
2. Use the up and dow,t arrow btlttons oi] the le_note to highlight the age-based ratings that conespond with the
lowest content you do slot warn the chikt to watch. (In the e×ample above, you would higMight TV-PG.)
