Time Zone: Select your time zone. This function is only available when the Clock Mode is set to Auto. Volume: Set the desired volume level.
Basic Features ✎✎ The V-Chip will automatically block certain categories dealing with more sensitive material. For example, if you block the TV-Y category, then TV-Y7 will automatically be blocked. Similarly, if you block the TV-G category, then all the categories in the young adult group will be blocked (TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14 and TV-MA). The sub-ratings (D, L, S, V) work similarly. So, if you block the L sub-rating in TV-PG, then the L subratings in TV-14 and TV-MA will automatically be blocked.

Energy Saving (Off / Low / Medium / High) This adjusts the brightness of the TV in order to reduce power consumption. Make sure the wall outlet is working. Try pressing the POWER button on the TV to make sure the problem is not the remote. If the TV turns on, refer to “Remote control does not work” below. The TV turns off automatically. • • • • Ensure the Sleep Timer is set to Off in the Setup menu (p. 19).
Solutions and Explanations Image Retention (Burn In) Issue. • To minimize the possibility of screen burn, this unit is equipped with screen burn reduction technology. Pixel Shift technology enables you to set picture movement up/down (Vertical Line) and side to side (Horizontal Dot). The cable/set top box remote control doesn’t turn the TV on or off, or adjust the volume. • Program the Cable/Set remote control to operate the TV. Refer to the Cable/Set user manual for the SAMSUNG TV code.
