01 Getting Started Playback of many disc types This product allows you to play back various discs, including DVD-Video, DVD±R/±RW , CD-DA, CD-R/-RW, MP3-CD, WMA-CD and DivX. USB Host support You can enjoy media files such as pictures, movies and music saved on a MP3 player, digital camera or USB memory stick by connecting the storage device to the USB port of the product. HDMI HDMI transmits DVD video and audio signals simultaneously, and provides a clearer picture.

Connections Connecting the Video Out to your TV Choose one method for connecting to a TV. HDMI FUNCTION HDMI Auto Detection Function If your TV is a Samsung TV and it supports the CEC function, the product's video output will automatically change to HDMI mode if connected with an HDMI cable while the power is on.

02 Connections Connecting the FM Antenna FM Antenna (supplied) 1. Connect the FM antenna supplied to the FM Antenna jack. 2. Slowly move the antenna wire around until you find a location where reception is good, then fasten it to a wall or other rigid surface. ✎ NOTE This product does not receive AM broadcasts. Connecting Headphones You can connect a set of headphones to your micro component system so that you can listen to music or radio programmers without disturbing other people in the room.
Setup Initial Settings Screen 1. Connect the product to your TV, and then turn the TV and the product on. When you turn on the product for the first time, the Initial Settings screen appears. Accessing and Using the Settings Menu The access steps may differ depending on the selected menu. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) in this manual may differ, depending on the firmware version. Setup HDMI Format You can optimize the color setting from the HDMI output. Select a connected device Type. • Monitor : Select if connected to a Monitor via HDMI. • TV : Select if connected to a TV via HDMI. Audio DRC (Dynamic Range Compression) This feature balances the range between the loudest and quietest sounds. You can use this function to enjoy Dolby Digital sound when watching movies at low volume at night.

If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off the unit, disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearest authorized dealer or Samsung Electronics Service Center. Symptom Check/Remedy I cannot eject the disc. • Is the power cord plugged securely into the outlet? • Turn off the power and then turn it back on. The iPod fails to connect.
