JVC’s top-end 776 LCD series includes step-up from the 576 series
(LT-26X576 and T-32X576 previous page) with built-in ATSC tuner and
CableCARD capability, which eliminates the need for a separate set-top
box; dual IEEE1394 inputs for connection to a video camera or other
device; and a fully illuminated universal remote control for easy
operation in a darkened room.
The LT-26X776 (26”), LT-32X776 (32”) and LT-37X776 (37”) also
incorporate Natural Progressive circuitry and JVC’s
new Smart Picture technology. By examining the
brightness level of incoming sources, Smart Picture
compensates for scenes, frame by frame, to ensure
that they are displayed at the perfect brightness
level without sacrificing contrast and detail.
The 40” LT-40X776 adds a memory card slot
(compatible with 5 formats) to view images
captured from a digital camera.

(Electroluminescent) Universal Remote.

operates your TV and most brands of cable
boxes, satellite receivers,and DVD players
◆ Built-in ATSC tuner receives over-the-air dig-
ital broadcasts, while an Easy Programming
Grid (EPG) lets you easily schedule future
viewing. They are also CableCard compati-
ble, eliminating the need to use a set top
cable box to descramble programming.

◆ i.LINK (IEEE1394) interface allows you to
connect your i.LINK compatible devices like
a DV camcorder directly to the TV.
◆ Media card viewer on the LT-40X776 (only) is
compatible with SD, Memory Stick,

viewing still images, MPEG-4 movies, etc.
◆ Picture quality is further enhanced through
JVC’s unique Natural Progressive picture
improvement technologies that optimize
signal quality before the picture is displayed
on the screen. JVC’s 10.95 million pixel
Natural Progressive technology doubles the
image data in each field and uses advanced
3D interpolation to display a solid image
without noticeable scanning lines and elim-
inates jagged edge noise and image trails.
PD-42X776 42” Plasma
The PD-42X776 is a 42-inch HD plasma display that offers XGA resolution
(1024 x 768) JVC’s fourth generation Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.)
and GENESSA, a new 32-bit CPU dedicated to controlling picture refinement.
D.I.S.T. uses an exclusive digital algorithm to upconvert any video source to 770p.
Jagged lines inherent in the original source are smoothed and vertical resolution
enhanced. Additional features include:
◆ Five-Point Color Management, a technology that samples red, green, blue, yellow and
flesh tones and adjusts each separately to delivers vivid color reproduction.
◆ HD DSD (Digital Super Detail) edge enhancement, which is active on still, fast and slow
motion areas of the picture for crisp defined edges
◆ Home theater features such as TheaterPro D6500K color temperature, Digital Noise Clear
Circuitry, Interactive Plug-in Menu, XDS ID display, and Natural Cinema 3-2 pull down
with on/off capability for all telecine sources.
◆ Dual auto sensing component video inputs, assuring the best possible picture quality
whether a viewer is using DTV, D-VHS or DVD, three S-Video inputs (two rear, one front),
four AV inputs (three rear, one front) and a PC input.
◆ Integrated ATSC and CableCARD tuner HDMI inputs and dual IEEE 1394 inputs.
◆ NTSC tuner with split screen and POP.
◆ BBE High Definition Sound Enhancement and Advanced Hyper Surround. The PD-42X776
also offers 20 watts of total power and JVC’s oblique cone speakers that direct the
sound upward for better performance throughout the room, and a subwoofer.
