17- and 23” High Definition
LCD Flat Panel TVs
JVC’s sleek and stylish LT-17X576 (17”) and LT-23X576 (23”) LCD flat
panel TVs deliver high-quality images (in 16:9 aspect ratio)
and high-definition audio. They feature an HD component
video input to connect your DVD player, 500:1 contrast
ratio, high brightness and a 176° viewing angle. Their high
resolution W-XGA panel accepts 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i
signals. They include a PC input, so they can do double duty
as a computer monitor, and offer PIP (Picture in Picture) with
the PC input source for your viewing convenience. Their two
3-watt (17”) or 5-watt (23”) speakers complement images
with high-quality Hyper Surround sound. The speakers are
mounted at the bottom of the LCD screen.
High Quality Picture & Sound
High resolution (1280 x 768) widescreen
W-XGA LCD display provides high bright-
ness, wide viewing angle, and a flicker-free
high resolution widescreen picture.
They accept 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i
signals and display at 768p. (Requires a set
top box to receive digital broadcasting).
3D Y/C comb filter corrects hanging dots,
color bleeding, and other cross color inter-
ference for a clear, sharp picture.
PIP with PC input source lets you view a TV
program or other source in an adjustable,
moveable window on the PC desktop.
With selectable color temperature adjust-
ment you can set the color temperature of
to suit your viewing preference. Select
“High” for a more vibrant picture for watch-
ing sports or colorful sitcoms. “Low for a
warmer look for movies and documentaries.
In addition to their front firing speakers
Hyper Surround Sound employs virtual
speakers to create a surround sound effect
without the need for rear speakers.
For connectability they are equipped with a
15-pin D-Sub PC input with stereo audio
mini jack, component video and S-Video
inputs, AV input and headphone jack.
Six adjustable widescreen aspect modes allow you to adjust the aspect ratio to suit your view-
ing preferences. They include Panorama/Cinema/Full and Regular modes for SD/ED (480i/480p)
signals and Panorama/Cinema Zoom and Full for HD (1080i/720p) signals. Panorama and
Cinema modes for all signals are vertically adjustable.
Panorama mode stretches a normal 4:3 aspect to fill the 16:9 viewing area
Cinema mode “zooms in” on the center portion of a 4:3 image and expands it to fit the
entire 16:9 viewing area
Full mode displays 16:9 HD signals at the perfect ratio
Panorama Zoom mode stretches HD16:9 modes to eliminate side bars
Cinema Zoom mode expands an HD16:9 image to eliminate the surrounding bars
Regular mode makes no adjustment to the incoming signal
Return feature brings you back to the last
channel viewed
Multi-lingual menus let you choose from
English, French, Spanish or Chinese for your
on-screen menu system display
V-Chip program blocking lets parents use TV
rating codes to block out programs from
children. Channel Guard controls TV use and
prevent video games and other sources from
being displayed.
Interactive plug-in menu system turns on
automatically the first time you turn on the
TV and prompts you to select your default
menu settings.
For convenience a carrying handle lets you
easily move them to another location. They
include a unified remote control for TV, DVD
and VCR operation
A table top stand comes standard and allows
you to swivel and/or tilt the angle of the LCD
television for the perfect viewing experience.
They feature VESA compliant screw holes
(100mm x 100mm) for easy wall mounting.
Other features include front panel lock,
10-minute automatic shut-off, sleep timer
(up to three hours in 15-minute intervals),
noise muting, and four video status settings
(Standard, Dynamic, Theater, Game).
