Listening to DAB Stations GB You can receive a DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) broadcast with clear CD-quality audio and text captions. However, because DAB broadcasting is still in testing phase, you can receive the broadcast only in limited areas. Remote Control Unit 1 What is DAB? DAB stands for digital audio broadcasting. It is a new form of radio that is broadcast digitally. Digital audio provides a superior quality of sound compared to regular analogue broadcasting.
Storing DAB Stations DAB Related Functions You can store up to 6 DAB stations. GB You can store up to 6 DAB stations. Information Display Function You can check various information about the service being received. About RDS broadcasting GB PTY (Program Type) indication and PTY-SEARCH function Using the RDS (Radio Data System) to receive FM stations RDS allows FM stations to send an additional signal along with their regular program signals. For example,the stations send their station names,as well as information about what type of program they broadcast, such as sports or music,etc. When tuned to an FM station which provides the RDS service,the RDS indicator lights up on the display.
Adjusting Display Brightness You can adjust the brightness of the display on the main unit so it won't interfere with your movie viewing. Press DIMMER button. Cautions on Handling and Storing Discs GB Small scratches on the disc may reduce sound and picture quality or cause skipping. Be especially careful not to scratch discs when handling them. Handling discs Do not touch the playback side of the disc. Hold the disc by the edges so that fingerprints will not get on the surface.
Before Calling for Service GB Refer to the chart below when this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instruction below does not help, turn off the unit, disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearest authorized dealer or Samsung Electronics Service Center.
