DO I NEED A SAMSUNG ACCOUNT?
Android was designed to be used with a Google account. That Google
account enables you access to the Google ecosystem of Android apps,
music, movies, and books, plus your phone’s settings are backed up to the
Google cloud. If you change devices, your new device reverts back to the
way you had your old device set up. A Samsung account does a similar
thing, but it uses the Samsung ecosystem. Technically, you don’t really
need a Samsung account because Google provides you everything you
need. However, Samsung uses the Samsung account to enable certain
Samsung-specific features on your Galaxy Note II (and other Samsung
Android phones and tablets). These include Group Cast and Share Shot,
which both involve sharing content in a group setting.
