Problem Action Remarks
Red LED on ROM card is
not flashing
y Check the power module and power connector.
y Check the MP program ROM on the ROM card and SP
ROM on the main board.
Left LED of DBS is OFF
y Check the power to the DBS and display DGP (keyphone)
y If DGP is powered, check line connection between the BSI
and DBS.
y Check the SYSTEM ID via MMC 737 when using 8BSI.
Use a multimeter
Right LED of DBS is not
flashing
y Check the CPU circuit on the DBS and reset DBS using
MMC 741.
Centre LED of DBS is
flashing continuously at
initialisation
y TCM link and multi-sync are not set up
y Check the link status and RJ-45 connector.
Cannot register handset
y Check registration mode is enabled
y Check System ID and AC changed from default value
(MMC 737).
Cannot make a call
y Check right LED of DBS is flashing
y Check handset is registered correctly
y Check whether the number is the same as that of another
handset. If so, select a handset and de-register it.
Cannot hand over
y Check the RF coverage area to the overlap cell for handover
y Check the direction or location of the DBS.
y Check the cable lengths between adjacent DBSs are less
than 200m.
