Installation
Registering Handsets
Office DECT 8000 Registration
Each handset must be registered to a DBS before it can be used.
You can register each handset with up to four different DBSs.
Read Setting DECT System Parameters, above, carefully
before reading this section.
You register each handset as follows.
1. Press the MENU button to display main menu items.
2. Press the t or s button repeatedly to select 5:System,
then press the OK button.
3. Enter the PIN code, then press the OK button. Office DECT 8000 Handset
The PIN code is preset to “0000.” For instructions on how to change this, refer to “Changing PIN” on page
40 of the Samsung Office DECT 8000 User’s Manual.
4. Press the t button to select 2:Register, then press the OK button.
5. Press the t or s button repeatedly to select the base number specified for the DBS.
If the check symbol (ü) appears to the right of the base number, this indicates that the number is already
registered on your handset.
6. Press the OK button. You will see the ID of the DBS.
7. Press the OK button. You will see the “Enter AC” message.
8. Enter the authentication code (AC) for the DBS (as set in MMC 737—see Setting DECT
System Parameters, above.)
9. Press the OK button. You will see the “Please Wait” message. If registration has been completed
successfully, the LCD window displays the handset number and the default handset name
“SAMSUNG”.
