Configure the following test environment.
To carry out the site survey, you will need to:
1. Install the BSI card in the DCS or Compact II keyphone system.
2. Connect the DBS and the BSI card using the UTP cable.
3. Connect the power cord to the keyphone system.
4. Set the DECT system parameters.
5. Register selected Office DECT 8000 handsets to the DBS.

Site Survey Procedure
Before you start cell planning, the coverage estimation for the site should be completed and the
possible DBS locations indicated on the site map. Cell planning is done as follows:
1. At a selected DBS location, set up the test configuration as shown in
Preparation of Site Survey
above.
2. Adjust the tripod to place the DBS near the ceiling or at a height of about 2.5m.
3. Press the
▼ button on the handset until you hear a short beep (after about three seconds) and
then press button “2” within one second of hearing the beep.
4. The handset displays the RSSI value of the DBS (see Figure B-1, handset LCD display [8],
shown in Appendix B).
