User Instructions Screen Image retention Do not display a still image (such as on a video game or when hooking up a PC to this Monitor) on the plasma monitor panel for more than several minutes as it can cause screen image retention. This image retention is also known as “screen burn”. To avoid such image retention, refer to page 28 of this manual to reduce the degree of brightness and contrast of this screen when displaying a still image. 1 Customizing the Picture Using Automatic Picture Settings You can use the on-screen menus to change the Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, and Tint settings of your PDP. Your PDP has automatic picture settings that allow you to adjust the video display easily. Press the Menu button, then press the joystick to enter. This power management system saves energy by switching your monitor into a low-power mode when it has not been used for a certain amount of time.
