Selecting the Storage Type
Select the storage type(internal or Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro) before recording or taking pictures.

Formatting the Memory
You can format the internal memory, Memory Stick or the Memory Stick Pro to erase all files.
1. Move [Mode Selector] down to turn on the CAM and move it down again.
◆ The Mode Selection screen appears.
2. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select System Settings and press the [OK] button.
3. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select <Memory> and press the [OK] button.
4. Move the [ ▲ /▼ ] switch to select <Format> and press the [OK] button.
5. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select desired setting and press the [OK] button.
◆ Internal: Format the internal memory. If you select ‘Internal’, the message is
displayed to confirm.
◆ External: Format the external memory. If you select ‘External’, the message is
displayed to confirm.
6. Press the [OK] button to format.
◆ Select <Cancel> to cancel formatting.
7. Press the [Menu] button to finish setting.

2. Move the [ ▲ /▼ ] switch to select System Settings and press the [OK] button.
3. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select <Memory> and press the [OK] button.
4. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select <Storage Type> and press the [OK] button.
5. Move the [ ▲ / ▼ ] switch to select desired setting and press the [OK] button.
◆ Internal: The recorded file, video, photo, mp3 file and voice file is stored in
internal memory.
◆ External: The recorded file, video, photo, mp3 file and voice file is stored in
external memory(Memory stick or Memory stick pro).
6. Press the [Menu] button to finish setting.
