Assembling it may take 45 minutes and an hour to set with cement. Minimum two persons are recommended to assemble this item for your safety. Please work on a clean level ﬂoor for the best result.

Square IN *VERY IMPORTANT* Check which side is in or out and mark them accordingly. Minimum hole dimensions : OUT 12” W x 12”L x 18” D 1. Making two holes for Torii poles. Remember that you need to set minimum 6” poles with cement. 2. Place poles with a hole at top and check which side is in or out with a square; Torii poles are slightly inclined outward and mark OUT for a short side and IN for the other. 3. Place two poles with outside out. 4. Insert a NUKI through pole holes. (HASHIRA) at a 8me.

Bo om KASAGI GAKUZUKA NUKI 7. Alterna8vely, you can also do the step 6 with the Torii on the ground. 8. Fit a GAKUZUKA (wider side at top) between the bo om KASAGI and NUKI. 9. Slide out the NUKI half way to let the GAKUZUKA ﬁt in. 10. Slide the NUKI in. Slide the GAKUZUKA to the center mark. Bo om KASAGI 11. Insert two KUSABI into a hole to ﬁll the gap. 12. Hammer both KUSABI at the same 8me un8l a part of the KUSABI ﬁlls the hole; it will permanently hold the NUKI in place.

13. Do the same for the other side of the NUKI. 14. Put the Top KASAGI. NUKI 15. Fasten the Top KASAGI and Bo om KASAGI with small screws. Nail the GAKUZUKA and the NUKI. 16. Insert cement frames and 8e them to the NUKI. 17. Fasten the extra wood board with large screws near the bo om of the poles where marked. 18. Pour mixed concrete into the holes and insert the poles. Check the level and adjust the pole posi8ons if not level.

20. Check the level from front or back. Adjust the pole posi8ons if not level. 21. Un8e the strings to pull down the cement frames, put them at the bo om, and ﬁnish the cement work. Remove the extra wood board from step 17 when the cement is cured. RECOMMENDED FINISHES This product is treated with oil-based semi-transparent brown wood preserva8ve. The color of the wood preserva8ve is not permanent, will show trace of green from Copper, and turn to light brown over 8me.

Do not leave it without permanent installation. This product is treated with oil-based semi-transparent brown wood preserva8ve.
