FUNCTION KEY - DEFINITIONS
NUMERIC 1 – 9 Used to reposition the numeric keypad anywhere on the keyboard
NUMERIC 00 Used to reposition the double zero anywhere on the keyboard
NUMERIC 000 Used to reposition the triple zero function anywhere on the keyboard
ADD CHECK Used to add multiple guest checks (soft checks) for payment
together or to add check between different tracking files. or to move
one check to another.
ACTIVE IN X ONLY This forces the use of X Manager Mode for this key
BACKSPACE Used as the alpha BACKSPACE function key
CAPS Used as the alpha capital letters lock function key
CANCEL Press cancel to abort a transaction in progress. All current items are
removed (voided)
HALO (0 NO LIMIT) This is the maximum sale amount for this key
ACTIVE IN X ONLY This forces the use of X Manager Mode for this key
COMPULSORY VALIDATION This forces validation if a cancel is carried out (only on printer
models with a validation option)
PRINT ON RECEIPT This controls whether cancelled transactions will be printed.
CASH Used to finalise or tender cash sales. Change is computed when the
amount of the cash tender is greater than the amount of the sale.
The optional system flag can be set allow change calculation on a
sales is finalised using the post tender system flag
HALO (0 NO LIMIT) This is the maximum sale amount for this key
EXEMPT TAX This allows each tax rate to be excluded from the sale calculation
OPEN DRAWER This controls whether the cash drawer will open.
COMPULSORY VALIDATION This forces validation if a cancel is carried out (only on printer
models with a validation option)
AMOUNT TENDER COMPULSORY This forces the entry of moneys given for change
DISABLE UNDER TENDERING This prohibits partial tender i.e. Value lower than sale
ALLOW UNDER TENDER IN X ONLY This forces use of X Manager mode for partial tender
ENABLE SMART CARD SALE Points can be accrued to a card and payment by cash
COIN CHANGE PORT# (0-7) Mainly for the US market this allows an automated coin changer
PRINT SIGNATURE A line for customer signature can be printed
PRINT CARD DETAIL If smartcard points accrual is used the card details can be printed
ENABLE PAY BY POINTS The system allows redemption of points converting them to cash
POINTS REDEEM VALUE If points redeem for cash using this key this is the value per point
