Installation Guide
A mixture of cement, sand and special additives. For the rapid setting
of bolts, railings and machinery into concrete, brick or stone. Special
need or structural applications where safety is a concern should be de-
signed and approved by a licensed engineer. Metals such as aluminum
that will corrode when exposed to wet cement must be protected.
SAFETY:
READ and UNDERSTAND the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before using
this product. WARNING: Wear protective clothing and equipment. See HMIS
block. For emergency information, call CHEMTREC at 800-424-9300 or 703-
527-3887 (outside USA). KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
PREPARATION:
The concrete or masonry unit to receive the anchor must be sound. Ensure
that the hole is wide enough and deep enough to provide proper support. This
will vary greatly depending on the fixture being anchored. In no case should
the hole be less than 2 inches deep and 2 inches wide. A minimum clearance
of 1 inch is required around the fixture being anchored. Remove all loose
material from the hole. Flood the hole with water and then remove all stand-
ing water leaving the hole damp.
MIXING:
For anchoring into concrete floors, mix SAKRETE® Anchor Cement to a thick
batter-like consistency. For anchoring into walls, mix to a much stiffer putty-
like consistency.
PLACEMENT:
Place fixture in the hole. Stabilize the fixture so that no movement occurs until
the SAKRETE® Anchor Cement is hard (about 30 minutes). For applications
subject to water, taper the material to shed water away from the fixture.
