3.4.1.6.2 Main Transmission Failure
The DodoSim 206 FSX models a one-way “sprag” clutch failure when the main transmission fails
due to continued or repeated over-torque. Failure of this clutch prevents the engine output shaft
from driving the main and tail rotors and thrust will be lost. Indications of a clutch failure are an
audible grinding noise, an indication on the N2/NR gauge that NR is lower than N2 and the pilot
may perceive a visible vibration when flying in the 3D virtual cockpit view. The engine should be
throttled back to idle and the pilot should attempt to auto-rotate and land immediately.
