Electrically Heated
Atomization Cell
The Thermo Scientific EC90 is an electrically heated atomization cell for flameless vapor generation
AAS. It provides
improved analytical performance, unattended operation and reduced operating
costs in comparison with a flame heated atomization cell. The EC90 must be used with the
VP90 or FI90, and is suitable for all hydride forming elements.

Extensive range of cuvettes available including electrographite, platform, and extended lifetime
• Optical temperature control is provided for max sensitivity and reproducibility
• Independently controlled internal and external cuvette gases provide long cuvette lifetime
(2 gases)
• Safety interlocks for pressure, inert gas, door, head tilt, temp, magnet open, power and
cuvette failure
• Intelligent coolant temperature sensor automatically modifies drying phase if coolant
temperature varies
• Includes cuvette lifetime counter
