USING THE CONSOLE
The console is made up of an LCD screen, three indicators and eight keys. Navigation basics are
described in the paragraph on Navigating the menus, page 2-8.
THE CONSOLE
Messages displayed
The console screen displays information in the form of short messages. The eight following messages
are displayed while the machine is warming up and printing.
Other messages are displayed if the printer requires any action from an operator. These messages are
explained in the "Printer technical guidelines" documentation.
Message Definition
Self test
The printer carries out self tests after the power has been switched
on.
Please wait
LThe printer is warming up and is not ready.
When the power is first switched on after the installation of a toner
cartridge, the message (
Adding toner) is also displayed.
Ready
The printer is ready to print.
Processing
The printer is processing: it is receiving data, generating graphics,
reading a CompactFlash card or printing.
