Field Meaning
Network Setting Enable NAT
: Check the appropriate box to enable address
translation (NAT) (Recommended).
Authentication
Select one of the proposed authentication modes (CHAP or PAP).
User Name
Enter the user name (32 characters maximum) supplied by your
Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Password Enter the password (32 characters maximum) supplied by your Internet
Service Provider (ISP).
MER
Field Meaning

Enable DHCP
: Check the appropriate box to enable the
modem/router's "DHCP client" function.
IP Address This field is active only when the "DHCP client" is deactivated (Enable
DHCP field check box not checked).
Enter a network IP address.
Subnet Mask
This field is active only when the "DHCP client" function is deactivated
(Enable DHCP field check box not checked).
Enter a subnetwork mask.
