Deleting messages
11.7.1. Deleting the current message
During the playback of the message, press the key.
The message in progress is deleted:
- If you have other messages, the next message is broadcast.
- Otherwise, the answering machine returns to standby mode.
11.7.2. Deleting all messages already played back
1. In standby mode, hold down the key until you hear a beep.
This beep informs you that all your messages already played back have been deleted.
- OR -
1. Press
. Select "answ machine "using the or key, press .
2. Select "delete all" using the or key, press
.
3. Press
to confirm deletion.
A beep indicates that all messages already played back have been deleted.
12. Answering machine setup
12.1.
Number of rings
This parameter enables you to set the number of times your telephone rings before the
answering machine answers a call. The number of rings can be set between 2 and 7.
You can also select the "ECONOMY"mode. The "ECONOMy" mode automatically determines the
number of rings: If there are no new messages on the answering machine, the number of rings
will be 4, otherwise the number of rings will be 2.

12.2.
Remote access to answering machine
Your answering machine can be interrogated remotely. This function lets you play back your
messages and set up your answering machine from another telephone located outside your
home.
12.2.1. Activate/deactivate remote access
1. Press . Select "answ machine " using the or key, press .
2. Select "settings" using the or key, press
.
3. Select "remote acc." using the or key, press
.
4. Use or to select "activate" or " deactivate " setting.

15.2.2. Telephone
Problem Solution
No dial tone
x
Check installation:
- Is the base power cord connected to a
working outlet?
- Is the telephone line cord connected to the
base unit and the wall jack?
x
Disconnect the base from the wall jack and
connect another phone to the same jack. If
there is no dial tone in the second phone, the
problem might be your wiring or local service.
x
Is the handset out of range of the base?
x
Make sure the battery is properly charged
(12 hours).
x
Is the battery pack installed correctly?
x
Did the IN USE indicator come on?
The battery may need to be charged.
Dial tone is OK, but can’t dial out
x
Make sure the tone/pulse setting is correct.
Handset does not ring
x
Make sure the RINGER setting on the
handset is programmed to ON.
x
You may have too many extension phones on
your line. Try unplugging some phones.
x

You experience static, noise or fading in
and out
x
Is handset out of range?
Move closer to the base.
x
Does the base need to be relocated?
x
Charge battery.
x
Make sure base is not plugged into an outlet
with another household appliance.
15.3.
Unit beeps
- Place handset in base for 20 seconds to reset the security code. If that doesn’t work,
charge battery for 15 hours.
- Clean charging contacts on handset and base with a soft cloth.
- See solutions for «No dial tone».
- Replace battery.
15.4.
Memory dialling
- Did you program the memory location keys correctly?
- Did you follow proper dialling sequence?
- Make sure the tone/pulse setting is correct.
- Did you reprogram numbers into memory after power outage or battery replacement.
