MAC-4R Design and Layout

The MAC-4R is a PLC based Access Control panel supporting up to 52,000 cards, 4 Card Readers,

16 Inputs, 8 Outputs and 16 Open Collector Outputs. It uses the Echelon Free Topology transceivers

to communicate and features full Drag-n-drop ladder logic programming.

All communications is over an Echelon Free Topology 78kb network.A single termination bus can

support up to 63 devices on a single pair of wires with a maximum distance or 400 meters. If more

distance is needed, a double termination can be used at each end of line to increase the distance up

to 2700 meters. Any one of three different adapters can be used to bring the signal into the comput-

er; LT-SA-10 Lon-Talk Serial Adapter, LT-USB Lon-Talk USB adapter, or LT-EA-10 Lon-Talk Ethernet

adapter.
