Shaken and stirred.
There are light years of dierence between fresh
pineapple and store bought juice in your cocktails in
terms of both taste and nutrition. Yes nutrition! Okay,
so rum, vodka and tequila might not be at the top of
your health food shopping list, but you can feel slightly
less guilty knowing what’s mixed in is fresh, hasnt been
concentrated or pasteurised, and is packed with some
compensatory nutrition.
And well before James Bond, there was an ongoing
debate about shaken vs. stirred, and blended vs. cubes.
Both have their own distinct texture and impact on
taste. For an evenly blended and icy texture like a frozen
margarita, select the high speed Mill setting.
Alternatively, if you prefer your cocktails shaken with
ice, add your ingredients together with whole ice cubes,
and set to the slow speed Stir setting. The result will
gently agitate the mix without breaking up the ice cubes,
allowing you to then strain your chilled and shaken
cocktail, just like you would from a traditional cocktail
shaker, minus all the hard work.
So the Bossmakes it simple to use fresh fruit in a variety
of cocktails, from margaritas to daiquiris, as well as
simplifying the classics that are usually shaken with ice.
