Functions BEFORE FIRST USE Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels before using the attachment for the first time. 1. Open the battery compartment cover by twisting the Vacuum Pump housing to the right side while holding the Vacuum Pump Base. 2. Insert the batteries correctly and press firmly to click into position. 3. Replace the Vacuum Pump Housing.
USING THE VACUUM PUMP Applying a vacuum pressure within the blender jug before blending green smoothies and vegetable dips can enhance flavours, change the texture and improves the overall taste experience. We do not recommend using the Vacuum Pump for all blending processes. For example, dairy based mixes taste better with air bubbles. Also, if your food doesn’t have a liquid element – herbs, spices, or nuts, for example - vacuum blending will not have a noticeable impact. 1.
4. Press the POWER Button to turn on the Vacuum Pump. The Vacuum Pump will automatically stop once a vacuum pressure is reached. 5. Remove the Vacuum Pump from the blender lid. 6. Operate blender as per manual. 7. Press the Vacuum Valve to release vacuum pressure from the blender jug for easy removal of the blender lid. 12 The Inner Cap with Vacuum Valve can now be left in the blender lid for any blending tasks, whether it be Vacuum-Blending or Non-Vacuum Blending.
WARNING Always wait until the Vacuum Pump has stopped before turning on the blender. Do not blend any ingredients while the Vacuum Pump is operating, as this could cause damage to the pump. LIGHTS AROUND POWER BUTTON A white LED ring will be visible around the Power Button when the Vacuum Pump is in operation. If the battery becomes low, the LED ring will flash red for 5 seconds after vacuuming. In this case the Vacuum Pump won't be able to achieve vacuum pressure anymore.
VACUUM PUMP • Always ensure the Vacuum Pump is kept clean after each use. • Wipe the Vacuum Pump with a clean, damp cloth after each use. Do not use harsh abrasives or caustic cleaning products when cleaning this attachment. • Ensure the Vacuum Pump is thoroughly dry after cleaning.
