Most of Saft’ s lithium cells are
UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
and IEC 60086-4 recognized, and
non-restricted for transport. Most
battery packs comply with European
and US Army standards. Several
LS cell models comply with the
IEC 60079-11 “Intrinsic Safety”
specification for ATEX applications.

The storage area should be clean,
cool (preferably not exceeding
+30ºC), dry and ventilated.

Lithium power at your service
Lithium is a light metal which exhibits
an exceptional specific capacity
(3.86 Ah/gram) and unique
electrochemical characteristics.
Combining lithium with manganese
dioxide (MnO
2
) powder or low-freezing
point liquid cathode materials such
as thionyl chloride (SOCl
2
) or sulfur
dioxide (SO
2
), results in batteries with
high energy, low weight, reduced self-
discharge rate, and ability to operate
under extreme conditions.
