Perform Test
• Place the test trip into the vial with the arrows pointing downward.
• Allow the vial to sit undisturbed for 10 minutes on the flat surface.
3
Prepare Your Water
Sample for Testing
• Pick up the dropper pipette. While tightly squeezing the bulb at the end
of the pipette, dip the open end into your water sample. Release the bulb
to extract a portion of the water sample into the pipette.
• Lift the pipette out of the water and hover it over the opening of the
small vial in upright position. Tightly squeeze the bulb again, transferring
the full pipette of water into the small vial. Use only one pipette-full
of water.
• With one hand, gently swirl the vial for several seconds, then place the
vial on a flat surface.

If no lines appear on your test strip, or both lines are very
light, the test did not run properly, and the result is not
conclusive. Unfortunately, all Do-It-Yourself testing has
limitations due to certain Physical and/or Chemical prop-
erties that may exist in your water supply. An inconclusive
result is due to such background interferences that are
out of your and our control.
We care about providing you with useful test results.
If background interferences have caused your DIY test to
be inconclusive or you wish to gain confirmation of Lead
being present or absent in your water supply, please go to

If your test strip shows a positive
test result, your water likely contains
Lead at or above the USEPA's Action
Level (0.015 ppm). The Lead may
originate from your water supply
or it may be leached into your
water by plumbing fixtures that
contain Lead.
You may wish to consider an
alternate (proven to be safe) water
source until you have a solution to
your Lead contamination problem.
You may also wish to consult a
Water Treatment Professional
in your area.
