5 GENERAL INFORMATION This coffee machine is suitable for preparing espresso coffee using coffee beans, and it is equipped with a device to dispense steam and hot water. The machine is designed for domestic use only and is not suitable for heavy or professional use.

INSTALLATION STARTING THE MACHINE 7 Make sure the power button is not pressed and the machine is turned off. Check the machine features on the label on the bottom of the appliance. 1 Lift the cover of the coffee bean hopper. 4 Fill the tank with fresh drinking water up to the MAX level. Reinsert the tank. 2 Fill the container with coffee beans. Close the cover placing it correctly on the hopper.
“AQUA PRIMA” WATER FILTER 8 10 11 12 Wait until a steady flow of water comes out of the spout. Turn the knob until it is in the rest position ( ). Press the water button again. The indicator light turns off. Remove the container. The machine is ready for use. When the correct temperature is reached, the machine performs a rinse cycle of the internal circuits. A small amount of water is dispensed; during this phase, the lights flash counterclockwise. Wait for this cycle to be completed.
CONTROL PANEL 9 Alarm light to empty the coffee grounds drawer: • permanently on: signals the need to empty the grounds drawer; this operation must be performed with the machine turned on (steps 4 and 5, page 17). Coffee dose adjusting knob (see page 10). Coffee button: • slow flash:1 coffee has been selected (the button has been pushed once). • quick flash: 2 coffees have been selected (the button has been pushed twice).
10 ADJUSTMENTS COFFEE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT PER CUP The coffee volume knob adjusts the amount of coffee brewed per cup. This adjustment has an immediate effect on the selected type of brewing. Espresso coffee Medium coffee Long coffee "AROMA" (OPTI-DOSE) INDICATES THE COFFEE DOSE PER CUP By pressing the key, it is possible to choose either a mild, a medium or a strong coffee. The coffee intensity is adjusted by setting the coffee quantity to be ground.
11 COFFEE GRINDER ADJUSTMENT The machine enables a slight adjustment of the coffee grinder. Coffee may be ground according to your own tastes. The adjustment must be performed turning the pin – located inside the coffee container – by means of the supplied key only. Turn the pin one setting at a time and brew 2-3 cups of coffee; the change in the grind will be noticeable after a couple of cycles. The references located inside the container indicate the grind setting. .
12 COFFEE BREWING COFFEE BREWING The coffee brewing cycle can be interrupted at any moment by pushing the button. To brew 2 cups, the machine dispenses half of the entered quantity and briefly interrupts dispensing in order to grind the second serving of coffee. Coffee dispensing is then restarted and completed. 1 Adjust the drip tray according to the height of the cup(s). 4 Adjust the quantity of coffee by turning the knob. Select the aroma by pushing the button one or more times (see page 10).
HOT WATER DISPENSING HOT WATER DISPENSING Dispensing may be preceded by short sprays of hot water, and scalding is possible. The hot water/steam spout may reach high temperatures: do not touch it with bare hands. Use the appropriate handle only. 1 Adjust the height of the drip tray. 4 Turn the knob until the position is reached. 7 Press the hot water button. 2 Place a container beneath the steam spout. 5 Wait for the container to be filled with the desired quantity of water.
14 CAPPUCCINO CAPPUCCINO Dispensing may be preceded by short sprays of hot water, and scalding is possible. The hot water/steam spout may reach high temperatures: do not touch it with bare hands. Use the appropriate handle only. 1 Adjust the height of the drip tray. 2 3 Fill 1/3 of the cup with cold milk. 4 5 Turn the knob until the position is reached. Froth the milk by gently rotating the container. 6 7 After frothing the milk, brew coffee into the cup for a creamy cappuccino.
DESCALING 15 DESCALING When performing a descaling cycle, it is necessary to be present during the entire process (about 40 minutes). Caution! Do not use vinegar as a descaler. The descaling must be done when indicated by the machine. Use a non-toxic, non-harmful descaling solution. Saeco descaling solution is recommended. The used solution should be disposed according to the manufacturer instructions and/or regulations in the country of use.
16 DESCALING 7 8 9 3 Empty the container with the used descaling solution. 8 Press the button to turn off the machine. After 10 minutes, turn on the machine again. Repeat steps 3 - 8 until all the descaling solution in the tank has been dispensed. 11 12 Press the hot water button. Place a large container beneath the steam spout. 13 14 15 Turn the knob until the position is reached to empty the water tank. When this operation is completed, turn the knob until it is in the rest position ( ).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 17 HOW TO CLEAN THE MACHINE The machine must be cleaned at least once a week. Do not immerse the machine in water or place any of its parts in a dishwasher. Do not use alcohol, solvents, benzene and/or abrasive objects to clean the machine. The water left in the tank for several days must be disposed of. Do not dry the machine and/or its components using a microwave and/or conventional oven. 1 Turn off the machine and unplug it. 4 Remove the coffee grounds drawer.
18 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE BREW GROUP The Brew Group must be cleaned at least once a week. Before removing the Brew Group, remove the coffee grounds drawer as shown in fig. 4 on page 17. Once you have washed and inserted the Brew Group, insert the grounds drawer and close the service door. 1 Press the “PUSH” button to remove the Brew Group. 4 Make sure the components are in the correct position.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS The machine does not turn on. CAUSES SOLUTIONS The machine is not connected to the Connect the machine to the power power source. source. The plug has not been plugged into the back of the machine. Insert the plug into the machine’s power socket. Coffee is not hot enough. The cups are cold. Warm the cups with hot water. 5 GÉNÉRALITÉS Cette machine à café est prévue pour la préparation de café expresso avec du café en grains et dispose d’un dispositif pour la distribution d’eau chaude et de vapeur. Au design élégant, cet appareil a été conçu exclusivement pour un usage domestique et n’est donc pas indiqué pour un fonctionnement continu de type professionnel.

on MONTAGE MISE EN MARCHE DE LA MACHINE S’assurer que l’interrupteur général ne soit pas actionné. Vérifier les caractéristiques de la machine reportées sur la plaque signalétique située sur la partie inférieure. 1 Soulever le couvercle du réservoir à café en grains. 4 Remplir le réservoir avec de l’eau fraîche potable, jusqu’au niveau MAX indiqué. Réinsérer le réservoir. 2 Remplir le réservoir à café en grains Fermer à l’aide du couvercle en le positionnant correctement sur le réservoir à café.
8 10 11 12 Attendre jusqu’à ce que l’eau coule de manière régulière. Tourner le bouton jusqu’à la position de repos ( ). Appuyer de nouveau sur le bouton. Le voyant s’éteint. Retirer le récipient. La machine est prête. Lorsque la température de fonctionnement est atteinte, la machine effectue un cycle de rinçage des circuits internes. Une petite quantité d’eau est distribuée ; pendant cette phase les DELS (diodes lumineuses) clignotent régulièrement dans le sens contraire aux aiguilles d’une montre.
TABLEAU DE COMMANDE 9 DEL (diode lumineuse) alarme vider le marc : • allumée de manière fixe : signale le besoin de vider les marcs ; cette opération doit être effectuée quand la machine est allumée (Points 4 et 5 page 17). Bouton pour régler la quantité du café en tasse (voir page 10). Bouton de distribution du café : • clignotement lent : 1 café sélectionné (touche appuyée une fois). • clignotement rapide : 2 cafés sélectionnés (touche appuyée deux fois).
10 RÉGLAGES QUANTITE DU CAFÉ EN TASSE Pour régler la quantité de café distribuée dans une tasse. Ce réglage a un effet immédiat sur la distribution sélectionnée. Café moyen Café expresso Café allongé (OPTI-DOSE) INDICATION DE LA QUANTITÉ DE CAFÉ MOULU En appuyant sur la touche , trois sélections sont possibles (léger, moyen, fort). De cette façon on détermine l’intensité du goût, en réglant la quantité de café à moudre.
11 RÉGLAGE DU MOULIN La machine permet de régler le degré de mouture du café. Ceci dans le but d’adapter la distribution du café au goût personnel de chacun. Le réglage doit être effectué en tournant le pivot situé à l’intérieur du réservoir à café, et ce uniquement avec la clé fournie. Ne tourner le pivot que d’un seul cran à la fois et distribuer 2 ou 3 cafés pour vérifier le degré de mouture.
12 DISTRIBUTION DE CAFÉ DISTRIBUTION DE CAFÉ Le cycle de distribution du café peut être interrompu à tout moment en appuyant sur la touche . Pour la préparation de 2 tasses, la machine distribue la moitié de la quantité réglée et interrompt brièvement la distribution pour moudre la seconde dose de café. La distribution de café est ensuite reprise et terminée. 1 Régler la hauteur du bac d’égouttement en fonction de la hauteur de la (des) tasses(s). 4 Régler la densité du café en tournant le bouton.
DISTRIBUTION D’EAU CHAUDE 13 DISTRIBUTION D’EAU CHAUDE Au début de la distribution, faire attention au risque de brûlures car il peut y avoir des éclaboussures d’eau chaude. La buse d’eau chaude/vapeur peut atteindre des températures élevées : éviter de la toucher directement avec les mains, utiliser exclusivement la poignée prévue à cet effet. 1 Régler la hauteur du bac d’égouttement. 4 Tourner le bouton jusqu’au point de repère .

DÉTARTRAGE 15 DÉTARTRAGE Lorsqu’on procède au détartrage, il faut être présent pendant toute la durée du processus (environ 40 minutes). Attention ! Ne jamais utiliser de vinaigre pour détartrer la machine. Le détartrage doit être effectué lorsque la machine le signale. Utiliser un détartrant non toxique ou non nocif. Nous recommandons l’emploi de la solution solution détartrante SAECO disponible auprès de votre revendeur ou de votre SAV.
DÉTARTRAGE 16 7 8 9 3 Vider le récipient de la solution détartrante. 8 Appuyer sur le bouton pour éteindre la machine. Après 10 minutes, allumer de nouveau la machine. Répéter les opérations du point 3 au point 8 jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de solution détartrante dans le réservoir. 11 12 Appuyer sur le bouton. Placer un récipient aux capacités adéquates sous la buse de vapeur. 13 14 15 Tourner le bouton jusqu’au point pour vider le de repère réservoir d’eau.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN 17 NETTOYAGE DE LA MACHINE Le nettoyage de la machine doit être effectué au moins une fois par semaine. Ne pas immerger la machine dans l’eau. Ne pas laver les composants au lave-vaisselle. Ne pas utiliser d’alcool éthylique, de solvants, d’essences et/ou d’objets abrasifs pour le nettoyage de la machine. L’eau qui est restée dans le réservoir pendant plusieurs jours doit être retirée du réservoir en la vidant.
18 NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN NETTOYER LE GROUPE DE DISTRIBUTION Le nettoyage du groupe de distribution doit s’effectuer au moins une fois par semaine. Avant de retirer le groupe, il faut retirer le tiroir à marc comme indiqué à la fig. 4 page 17. Après avoir lavé et inséré le groupe de distribution, introduire le tiroir à marc et fermer la porte de service. 1 Pour retirer le groupe de distribution, appuyer sur la touche « PUSH ». 4 S’assurer que tous les composants se trouvent dans la bonne position.
PROBLÈMES - CAUSES - REMÈDES PROBLÈMES La machine ne s’allume pas Le café n'est pas assez chaud. La machine ne distribue ni eau chaude ni vapeur. Le café ne mousse pas. La machine se réchauffe trop lentement ou la quantité d’eau qui sort du bec est insuffisante. Le groupe de distribution ne peut pas être démonté. CAUSES La machine n’est pas branchée sur le réseau électrique. La fiche n’est pas branchée sur la prise située au dos de la machine. Les tasses sont froides.
20 CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ EN CAS D’URGENCE Débrancher immédiatement la fiche de la prise murale. UTILISER EXCLUSIVEMENT L’APPAREIL - Dans un lieu fermé. - Pour la préparation de café, d’eau chaude, pour faire monter le lait ou pour réchauffer des boissons avec la vapeur. - Pour une utilisation domestique. - Par des adultes en conditions psychophysiques non altérées. NE JAMAIS UTILISER L’APPAREIL pour des buts différents de ceux qui ont été susmentionnés, pour éviter tout danger.
21 PANNES - Ne pas utiliser l’appareil en cas de panne identifiée ou suspecte, par ex. après une chute. - Les éventuelles réparations doivent être effectuées par un service d’assistance agréé. - Ne pas utiliser un appareil présentant un câble d’alimentation défectueux. Si le câble d’alimentation est abîmé, celui-ci doit être remplacé par le constructeur ou par son service clients. (Danger ! Courant électrique !). - Éteindre d’appareil avant d’ouvrir la porte de service.
