b. Place a manifold flange gasket on each port
surface, with the flat edge up. The same gasket
part number is used for both front and rear
ports. The mounting holes/intake port alignment
should be verified before continuing.
See Picture 19.
c. From the right side of the engine, slide the fuel
rail/manifolds assembly into the installed
position. Guide the assembly to enable the
open ended slots on the manifold flanges to
engage the hex head screws. Also, ensure the
fuel lines route correctly around the horn and
bracket. See Picture 20. The front manifold
will easily detach from the fuel rail during
assembly, since O-ring friction is all that is
holding it until the assembly is attached to the
engine. See Picture 21.
d. Slip each gasket up into place and install the
5
/16 -18 socket head cap screws. Using a
1
/4
ball end Allen wrench thread the screws in a
few turns. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS AT
THIS TIME.
e. Using a new gasket provided in the kit and the
TORX T10 screws from the old induction
module assembly, install the Intake Air
Temperature (IAT) sensor with wiring harness
already attached. Tighten screws to 6 in-lbs.
See Picture 22.
2. Install Throttle
Body
a. Place a throttle body gasket between the
manifolds and throttle body. See Picture 23.
b. Attach the throttle body with the IAC motor pointing
up. Use four (4)
1
/4 -20 x
7
/8 socket head cap
screws, provided in the kit, and thread the screws
in a few turns. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS AT
THIS TIME. See Picture 24.
c. Plug in the wiring harness connectors to the
injectors, TPS, and IAC motor. The injector
harness is labeled (F)ront and (R)ear to ensure
correct assembly. The TPS wiring harness may
need to be extracted an additional distance from
the main harness to comfortably reach the TPS.
TPS and ignition coil connectors are the same,
so ensure they are installed correctly.
