NOTE: Four (4) spare injector O-rings are included in the
O-ring package.
c. Apply a thin coat of Vaseline or clean engine oil
to each O-ring.
d. Remove the plastic plugs from the fuel rail.
e. Carefully install the two fuel fittings in the fuel
rail. Do not tear the O-rings during assembly,
and be sure Vaseline or clean engine oil is
applied to the O-rings prior to assembly.
See Picture 7.
f. Carefully install the pressure regulator and
regulator bracket bolt onto the fuel rail.
The
regulator and bracket must be installed
together. Do not tear the O-ring during
assembly, and be sure Vaseline or clean engine
oil is applied to the O-rings prior to assembly.
See Picture 8.
g. Place the two (2)
1
/4 -20 x
3
/4 button head screws
with the pre-applied thread locker into the fuel
rail mounting holes.
h. Install the retainer plate over the fuel fittings.
i. Install the TORX T50 sleeve bolt and partially
thread it onto the regulator bracket bolt. Leave
it loose for now.
j. Attach the fuel lines to the fuel rail by sliding them
over the fuel fittings. Do not tear the O-rings
during assembly, and be sure Vaseline or clean
engine oil is applied to the O-rings prior to
assembly. Ensure correct placement of supply
and return lines. See Picture 10.
k. Orient the pressure regulator atmospheric
pressure port as shown in Picture 9.
