ASSEMBLY UNPACKING ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBES This product requires assembly. n Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping. n Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product. n If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-860-4050 for assistance.
ASSEMBLY grounding instructions Installing the vacuum bag See Figure 4. After installing the vacuum handle, connect the grounding wire as shown. This will help prevent static shock when using the vacuum in low humidity conditions. See Figures 5 - 6. Remove the nozzle and upper blower tube from the blower. Unzip the vacuum bag and place the adaptor inside as shown.
ASSEMBLY Installing the vacuum tubes See Figures 7 - 8. WARNING: vacuum inlet door vacuum bag assembly Rotating impeller blades can cause severe injury. Always stop the engine before opening the vacuum door or installing/changing tubes. Do not put hands or any other object into the vacuum tubes while they are installed on the unit. NOTE: This vacuum/blower is equipped with a vacuum door interlock. If vacuum door is open and vacuum tubes are not installed, engine will not start.
OPERATION NOTE: Premium Exact Mix™ fuel mixture will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than can be used in a 30 day period. WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. PREMIUM EXACT MIX™ (50:1) Gasoline WARNING: Oil 1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz. 1 liter 20 cc (20 ml) Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating power tools.
OPERATION STARTING AND STOPPING THROTTLE TRIGGER See Figures 9 - 10. Starting the product differs depending on whether the engine is cold or warm. Blower should be on a flat, bare surface for starting. To start an engine that is cold or has run dry: n Fill the fuel tank, if necessary. Always use the proper oil/gasoline mixture. See Mixing the Fuel on page 12. engine switch CHOKE LEVER n Engage the cruise control lever. n Slowly push the primer bulb seven times.
OPERATION To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center of a pile. Operate power equipment at reasonable hours only - not early in the morning or late at night when people might be disturbed. Comply with the times listed in local ordinances. To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment used at any one time.
OPERATION VACUUM OPERATION Remove the vacuum tubes and clear the debris from the blower fan housing. Remove the bag and clear the tube. A small rod or stick may be required to clear the entire tube length. Ensure that all debris has been cleared before reassembling the vacuum tubes. See Figure 14. WARNING: Never run the unit without the vacuum tubes, vacuum bag, and vacuum handle installed. Failure to heed this warning could result in serious personal injury.
MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE AIR FILTER SCREEN See Figure 15 - 16. For proper performance and long life, keep the air filter screen clean. Remove the hex nut, wavy washer, flat washer, and choke dial cover. choke dial cover Brush the air filter screen lightly to clean. wavy washer Reinstall the choke dial cover, flat washer, wavy washer, and hex nut. SPARK ARRESTOR The muffler is equipped with a spark arrestor screen inside muffler body.
