GENERAL SAFETY RULES Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before plugging in. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have the switch on invites accidents. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on.

ASSEMBLY UNPACKING WARNING: This product has been shipped completely assembled. If any parts are damaged or missing do not operate this tool until the parts are replaced. Failure to heed this warning could result in serious personal injury. Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
OPERATION CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK A COOL BATTERY PACK for normal recharging of batteries. If the charger does not charge your battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your nearest Authorized Service Center for electrical check. If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red LED on charger will come on.
OPERATION CAUTION: DEPRESS LATCHES TO RELEASE BATTERY PACK When placing battery pack in the tool, be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with the slot in the buffer/polisher and latches into place properly. Improper installation of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components. BATTERY PACK TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK LATCHES See Figure 4. Place the power switch in the OFF ( O ) position. Locate latches on side of battery pack and depress both sides to release battery pack.
OPERATION APPLICATION OF PASTE POLISH See Figure 6. Use a putty knife or other flat, blunt object to apply approximately one rounded teaspoon of paste onto the bonnet. Evenly spread the paste over the entire surface of the bonnet. Do not apply paste directly to the surface being polished. WARNING: Keep a firm grip on the tool with both hands at all times. Failure to do so could result in loss of control leading to possible serious injury. APPLICATION OF LIQUID POLISH WAX See Figure 7.
OPERATION CHANGE TO BUFFING/POLISHING BONNET See Figure 9. Remove the battery pack from the buffer/polisher and remove the application bonnet by loosening the drawstring and slipping the bonnet off the pad. Replace with buffing/ polishing bonnet, attaching it the same way as the application bonnet. Buff the surface in the same order as it was polished, starting with large flat surfaces and ending with hard-to reach areas.

Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleumbased products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts.
