GENERAL SAFETY RULES n Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool in unexpected situations. n Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions. n Do not use on a ladder or unstable support. Stable footing on a solid surface enables better control of the tool in unexpected situations.

SAFETY RULES FOR CHARGER n An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. FEATURES KNOW YOUR CAULK GUN VARIABLE SPEED SELECTOR See Figure 1. Before attempting to use this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. The plunger speed can be adjusted with the variable speed selector. This allows you to adjust the material feed rate to suit your particular application. CARRIAGE FRAME PUNCTURE TOOL The carriage frame holds a standard 10 oz. tube of caulk.
OPERATION LED FUNCTIONS OF CHARGER LED WILL BE ON TO INDICATE STATUS OF CHARGER AND BATTERY PACK: WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. See Figure 2. n Red LED on = Fast charging mode. n Green LED on = Fully charged and in maintenance charge mode. n Green LED on = When battery pack is inserted into charger, indicates hot battery pack or that battery pack is out of normal temperature range.
OPERATION CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK BATTERY PACK P100 If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red LED on charger will come on. NOTE: If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for electrical check. n Charge the battery pack only with the charger provided. n Make sure the power supply is normal household voltage, 120 volts, 60 Hz, AC only.
OPERATION NOTE: This situation only occurs when continuous use of the tool causes the batteries to become hot. It does not occur under normal circumstances. Refer to “CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK” for normal recharging of batteries. If the charger does not charge your battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for electrical check. TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 4.
OPERATION STARTING/STOPPING THE CAULK GUN See Figure 5. Before attempting to start the caulk gun, be sure the switch lock is in the unlocked position. n To turn the caulk gun ON, depress the switch trigger. �n To turn the caulk gun OFF, release the switch trigger. TO TURN OFF LOCK LOCKING THE SWITCH TRIGGER See Figure 5. The switch trigger of the caulk gun can be locked off using the slide switch located below the switch trigger. n To lock the switch trigger, slide the switch lock up.
OPERATION WARNING: Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, switch should always be locked when not in use or carrying at your side. LOW SPEED APPLYING CAULK See Figures 8 - 10. n �Prepare the surface to be caulked by removing any dust, dirt, or remnants of old caulking. Make sure the area to be caulked is clean and dry. n Set the speed of the caulk gun to match your application needs, using just enough caulk to do the job.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: WARNING: When servicing, use only identical Ryobi replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleumbased products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
