OPERATION VARIABLE SPEED SWITCH TRIGGER INSTALLING/REMOVING BITS See Figure 2, page 10. The variable speed switch trigger delivers higher speed with increased trigger pressure and lower speed with decreased trigger pressure. To turn the tool ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn it OFF, release the switch trigger and allow the chuck to come to a complete stop. NOTE: A whistling or ringing noise coming from the switch during use is a normal part of the switch function.

OPERATION Using the chart, select the option that best matches the type of bit, fastener, and material you will be using.  Choose your APPLICATION.  Choose the correct SPEED: (1/LOW OR 2/HIGH)  Choose the correct MODE: (DRIVE, DRILL, OR HAMMER) ADJUSTING TORQUE See Figure 8, page 11. When using the drill-driver for various driving applications, increasing or decreasing the torque helps prevent the possibility of damaging screw heads, threads, workpiece, etc.

OPERATION WARNING: When drilling, be prepared for binding at bit breakthrough. When these situations occur, drill has a tendency to grab and kick opposite to the direction of rotation and could cause loss of control when breaking through material. If not prepared, this loss of control can result in possible serious injury.  When drilling hard, smooth surfaces, use a center punch to mark the desired hole location. This will prevent the bit from slipping off-center as the hole is started.

UTILISATION TRAIN D’ENGRENAGES À DEUX VITESSES (COMMUTATEUR HI-LO) Voir la figure 6, page 11.  Sélectionner la basse vitesse (BASSE) (1) pour des applications nécessitant plus de puissance et un couple plus élevé.  Sélectionner la vitesse élevée (HAUTE) (2) pour un perçage rapide, perçage avec percussion ou pour d’autres applications. AVIS : Ne jamais changer de gamme de vitesse lorsque l’outil est en fonctionnement.

UTILISATION  Tenir solidement la perceuse et positionner le foret à l’endroit où percer ou visser. AVERTISSEMENT : Ne pas enfoncer de vis dans des surfaces pouvant dissimuler des fils électriques. En cas de contact avec un fil sous tension, les parties métalliques de l’outil seraient mises sous tension et probablement choc l’opérateur.

FUNCIONAMIENTO TREN DE ENGRANAJES DE DOS VELOCIDADES (INTERRUPTOR HI-LO) Vea la figura 6, página 11.  Seleccione la velocidad (1) (BAJA) para aplicaciones que requieren una mayor potencia y torsión.  Seleccione la velocidad (2) (ALTA) para aplicaciones de taladrado, taladrado de percusión o atornillado rápidas. AVISO: Nunca cambie de gama de velocidad mientras esté funcionando la herramienta. El incumplimiento de esta precaución puede producir daños serios en el taladro.

FUNCIONAMIENTO  Asegure la pieza de trabajo en una prensa o con abrazaderas para evitar que rote a medida que la broca gira.  Sostenga firmemente el taladro y coloque la broca en el punto a taladrar o donde se colocará el tornillo. ADVERTENCIA: No introduzca tornillos donde pudiera haber cables ocultos detrás de la superficie. Todo contacto de una herramienta con un cable cargado carga las piezas metálicas expuestas de la herramienta y da una descarga eléctrica posiblemente al operador.
