Basket Strainer Installation

1. Before Installing the basket strainer,

make sure the area surrounding the

hole of the sink is clean and

completely dry.

2. Use about a handful of plumber’s

putty and work it to create a ring

approximately the same size as the

sink’s hole. Place the putty around the

edge of the sink’s hole.

3. Place the strainer through the sink’s

hole and press into the

putty. Wipe away any excess putty

above and below the sink with your

ngers.

4. From underneath the sink, place the

foam washer on the strainer and push

all the way up the stem. Then do the

same with the rubber washer.

5. Place the locknut on the base of the

strainer and screw all the way up the

strainer until tight. You may want to

have someone use a pair of needle-

nose plyers hold the strainer in place

from above while you tighten the

locknut.

6. You can now place the basket in the

strainer. The lid can then be placed on

top of the strainer.
