4. FIRST AID MEASURES
EYES: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water. Get medical attention, if irritation persists.
SKIN: Immediately flush skin with large quantities of lukewarm water for at least 30 minutes while removing contaminated clothing.
Get medical attention if symptoms occur. Wash clothing before reuse.
INGESTION: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. call a physician or poison control center immediately. Rinse mouth thoughly
with water.
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Keep affected person warm and at rest. Seek
immediate medical attention.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE
EYES: Causes serious eye damage.
SKIN: Causes severe burns.
INGESTION: Causes digestive tract burns.
NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: Treat symptomatically and supportively.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: First aid responders should pay attention to self-protection, and use the recommended personal
protective equipment when the potential for exposure exists.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use extinguishing agent applicable to surrounding fire.
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Evacuate and fight fire from a safe distance. As in any fire wear self-contained breathing
apparatus operated in pressure-demand mode, (NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SMALL SPILL: Absorb spilled material and place in appropriate container for disposal.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
WATER SPILL: Do not allow spills to enter drains or waterways.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
GENERAL PROCEDURES: Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
HANDLING: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid inhalation of vapors and mists.
STORAGE: Store in a tightly closed container.
COMMENTS: DO NOT store with strong oxidizing agents, Organic peroxides, Explosives.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: A system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended to keep employee exposures as low as
possible.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
EYES AND FACE: Wear safety glasses with side shields. Chemical splash goggles and face shield (ANSI Z87.1 or approved
equivalent) are recommended.
SKIN: Wear protective clothing, including long sleeves and gloves, to prevent skin contact. Thoroughly wash clothing before
reuse.
RESPIRATORY: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
OTHER USE PRECAUTIONS: Safety shower and an eyewash should be available for emergency exposures.
