5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FLAMMABLE CLASS: Flammable
GENERAL HAZARD: Flammable liquid and vapor! Dangerous fire hazard when exposed to heat or flame. Vapors can flow along
surfaces to distant ignition source and flash back.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam. Treat as a petroleum fire.
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
EXPLOSION HAZARDS: None Expected.
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus operated in pressure-demand mode,
(NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SMALL SPILL: Absorb spilled material and place in appropriate container for disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
GENERAL PROCEDURES: Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
HANDLING: Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wash
thoroughly after handling. Keep away from food and drinking water.
STORAGE: Store in a well-ventilated area suitable for flammable materials, away from incompatible substances. Protect from
sources of ignition, heat or flame. Containers should be bonded and grounded for transfers to avoid static sparks.
STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Store in a cool place.
