ALL SURFACES:
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and

contaminants by washing the surface with a

detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Mold and

must be cleaned with a chlorinated cleaner or bleach

Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly

STEEL:
Scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to remove

oose
rust, scale and deteriorated coatings. Use 7569 Red Primer
f

r
sound rusted or clean metal before application of a finish

Primer is best for clean metal but may be used on
sound rusted metal as

PREVIOUSLY COATED:
Previously coated surfaces must be so

and in good condition. Smooth, hard, or glossy finishes should be
scarified by sanding to create a surface profile. Removal of o

paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust

fumes that contain lead.

Apply only when air and surface temperatures are between
50-
100°F (10-38°C) and the surface temperature is at least 5°F
(

above the dew point. The relative humidity should not be g

carry a significant distance. Shake can vigorously for one

Apply several light coats a few

apart to avoid drips and runs. Recoat within 1 hour or after

hours; allowing more time in cooler temperatures. Clean valve
immediately after use by turning can upside down and d

seconds (some paint will be sprayed out,

be careful to not inadvertently spray yourself or other objects). If
clogged, remove tip and clean in thinner. Do not insert any

into can valve opening. Properly discard empty container. Do

burn or place in trash compactor. Empty container can be
r
