.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
RockSolid
®
High Gloss Wet Look Lacquer seals and
protects concrete and masonry surfaces from the
damaging effects of water, chemicals and UV light. This
solvent-based formula forms an extremely durable,
protective barrier to keep water out, protect against stains
and extend the life of the concrete surface. The “wet look”
finish beautifies decorative concrete, stone, pavers and
masonry surfaces. Application is quick and easy using a
solvent-resistant pump sprayer or paint roller.
High Gloss Wet Look Lacquer is suitable for use on
interior and exterior concrete and masonry surfaces
including previously stained or sealed concrete, pavers,
stone, slate, tile, stucco and more. Do not use on asphalt.
High Gloss Wet Look Lacquer is ideal for driveways,
walkways, porches, patios, pool decks and more. If
topcoating freshly stained concrete, no surface
preparation is necessary. See stain labels for
recommended topcoat times. Note: Surfaces previously
sealed with RockSoild High Gloss Wet Look Lacquer may
be sealed again with this product.

STARTING PROJECT
SURFACE PREPARATION
Proper surface preparation is critical to achieve best
results. Allow newly poured concrete to cure for a
minimum of 28 days. Sweep away all loose dirt, debris
and remove any vegetation that could interfere with
application and performance. If necessary, use a wire
brush or sander to remove any loose or unsound concrete
or masonry. Remove any efflorescence with RockSolid
Efflorescence Remover (sold separately). Clean the entire
surface, including any oil or grease spots with RockSolid
Heavy Duty Cleaner (sold separately). Scrub with a stiff
bristle brush or broom. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
A power washer is preferred. Repeat as necessary to
completely clean and rinse. Allow to dry completely before
sealing. Hazing may occur if lacquer is applied to a damp
surface.
.PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
APPLICATION
RockSolid High Gloss Wet Look Lacquer is ready to use.
Do not thin. Use only when air (ambient) temperature is
between 50-90°F (10-32°C) and the relative humidity is
below 85% during the day and night. Do not apply in
direct sunlight. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24
hours. Use in a well ventilated area.
Mask adjacent surfaces to allow spray application up to all
edges. Protect delicate foliage from overspray. Apply
using a solvent-resistant pump sprayer with an adjustable
spray tip. Shake or swirl container to mix product. Fill
solvent-resistant pump sprayer with sealer, then fully
pressurize the sprayer. Set the spray tip to a medium-fine
mist and spray 10-12” from the surface. An alternate
method is to apply with a ⅜” or ½” nap roller from a paint
tray. Do not pour the sealer directly on the surface or allow
to puddle.
Apply the sealer evenly, using a circular or oval pattern to
saturate the surface. Start and stop the sprayer just off the
work area to prevent drips. For larger areas, work in 6’x6’
sections at a time before moving to the next section. Apply
a saturating coat so the surface remains wet for several
minutes before sealer is absorbed. Wait 5-10 minutes then
back roll with a ⅜” to ½” nap roller to pick up any puddles
and soften overlap marks. A second coat is recommended
for more porous surfaces. Wait until the first coat is dry to
the touch and follow the same application method and
back roll. Occasional touch-up or recoat may be
necessary for areas subject to heavy foot or vehicle traffic.
COVERAGE
Each gallon covers 200 square feet (single coat). The
actual coverage will vary depending on the porosity of the
surface. Dense surfaces will require only one coat. Porous
surfaces may require additional coats.
DRY TIME
Dry time is based on 70°F and 50% relative humidity.
Allow longer dry time at lower temperatures and higher
humidity. Wet Look Lacquer will dry to the touch in 30
minutes. Allow a minimum of 2 hours for foot traffic. Wait
24-48 hours before returning heavy items, furniture and
vehicles. The surface will be fully cured in 72 hours.
CLEAN-UP
Wash tools and equipment with mineral spirits or lacquer
thinner. Clean spills with mineral spirits or lacquer thinner.
Properly dispose of all soiled rags and unused product.
CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN DO
NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.
