.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Rust-Oleum
®
No Hunting Purple is a durable weather resistant
finish formulated for marking trees, fences and property lines.
This product is designed for use in states regulated by “No
Hunting” paint statues. NOTE: Paint marks must be readily
visible to any person approaching the property and must be no
more than 100 feet apart. Each mark must be at least 8” wide
and at least 3 feet off the ground and no higher than 5 feet off the
ground.

..PRODUCT APPLICATION .
PAINTING CONDITIONS
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open
garage. Use when the temperature is between 50-90°F
(10-32°C) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper
drying. Do not apply to surfaces that will exceed 200°F
(93°C) or on galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very
windy, dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect
from spray mist.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical
contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial
detergent or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse
thoroughly with fresh water and allow to fully dry. All
surfaces must be dry at time of application. Remove loose
paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand
glossy surfaces.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint from
any surface, you may release lead paint dust. LEAD IS
TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE;
ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN
SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH
approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up
carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you

PRIMING
Use 7769 Rusty Metal Primer or 225135 Touch Up Rusty
Metal Primer for sound rusted or clean metal before
application of a finish coat. 7780 White Clean Primer is
best for clean metal but may be used on sound rusted
metal as well.
..PRODUCT APPLICATION .
APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball
begins to rattle. If missing ball fails to rattle, DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during
use. Hold can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a
steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each
stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface.
Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more
light coats a few minutes apart.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F (21°C) and 50%
relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures
and higher humidity. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to
handle in 1 hour and fully dry in 24 hours. Apply a second
coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
CLEAN-UP
Wipe off tip before storing. Clean up wet paint with xylene
or mineral spirits. Properly discard of empty container. Do
not burn or place in home trash compactor.
CLOGGING
If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not stick pin or other
object into the stem.
