APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Apply only when air and surface temperatures are above

proper drying.

Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants
by washing the surface with soap and water. Rinse
thoroughly with fresh water and allow to fully dry. Remove
loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly
sand glossy surfaces.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint from any
surface, you may release lead paint dust. LEAD IS TOXIC.

ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE; ESPECIALLY IN
CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID
EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH approved respirator to control
lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and
a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself

PRIMING
Use of Painter’s Touch
Ultra Cover Primer provides a sound
base for topcoat adhesion and is especially recommended
for bare wood and metal. Recommended primers include
2244T or 267268 White or 1980502 Flat Gray Primer.
APPLICATION
Before using, stir thoroughly to ensure any settled pigment is
re-dispersed. If thinning is necessary, thin material only with
mineral spirits or acetone. For brush or roller, thin no more
than 5%. Apply with a good quality brush, roller, or spray
gun. Avoid painting in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
Avoid excessive brushing as this will reduce film thickness
and protection. Use light, even strokes to ensure an even
flow and the smoothest finish.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF and 50% relative
humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. May
recoat when fully dry, usually in 24 hours. Dries to the touch
in 2-4 hours and to handle in 5-9 hours.
CLEAN-UP
Clean brush and other application tools with mineral spirits.
