SURFACE PREPARATION (See directions on can for more details)
Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy
surfaces. Clean the surface with soap and water, rinse and let dry. The use of
Rust-Oleum
®
Engine Primer will provide additional adhesion and hiding and is
especially recommended for bare metal.
MIXING Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. Shake the can
often during use.
APPLICATION Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when
temperature is between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) and humidity is below 85% to
ensure proper drying. Avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Cover the
surrounding area to protect from spray mist. Hold the can 10-16" from surface and
spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can
the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or
more light coats a few minutes apart.
